CBS responds to Pauley Perrette’s cryptic tweets

CBS is responding to Pauley Perrette‘s cryptic tweets.

On Tuesday, May 15, 2018, CBS Television Studios issued a statement after the former NCIS star made vague allegations of false reporting, bullying, and physical assault following her exit from the long-running drama last week.

“Pauley Perrette had a terrific run on NCIS and we are all going to miss her,” a spokesperson for the network stated (via Entertainment Tonight). “Over a year ago, Pauley came to us with a workplace concern. We took the matter seriously and worked with her to find a resolution. We are committed to a safe work environment on all our shows.”

In response, Perrette tweeted, “I want to thank my studio and network CBS. They have always been so good to me and always had my back.”

As Nicki Swift previously reported, the 49-year-old actress made headlines earlier this week after she took to Twitter with claims that she’d been bullied and physically assaulted multiple times on the set of one of her shows.

“I refused to go low, that’s why I’ve never told publicly what happened,” Perrette wrote. “But there are tabloid articles out there that are telling total lies about me. If you believe them? Please leave me alone. You clearly don’t know me. (Sorry guys, had to be said).”

She went on to claim that a “machine” was “keeping [her] silent” and “feeding FALSE stories about [her],” adding, “He did it.” The actress continued, “Maybe I’m wrong for not ‘spilling the beans’ Telling the story, THE TRUTH. I feel I have to protect my crew, jobs and so many people. But at what cost?”

At the time of this writing, Perrette has not yet clarified the tabloid articles in question, what allegedly happened, or whom “he” is. However, her next tweet implied that the incidents took place on the set of NCIS

“I’ve been supporting ant-bullying programs forever. But now I KNOW because it was ME!” she wrote. “If it’s school or work, that you’re required to go to? It’s horrifying. I left. Multiple Physical Assaults. I REALLY get it now. Stay safe. Nothing is worth your safety. Tell someone.”

Perrette confirmed that she was leaving NCIS last October, after portraying the goth-chic Forensic Scientist, Abby Sciuto, for 15 seasons.
