Nick Jonas, Priyanka Chopra to tie the knot ‘soon’

Are singer Nick Jonas and actress Priyanka Chopra about to get hitched?

On Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018, Us Weekly reported that the engaged pair might be tying the knot sooner rather than later.

According to a source cited by the magazine, “The wedding is coming soon and they really want to blend wedding traditions from both of their cultures that are important to them.” Noting that “they really are a great match,” the insider added that the Quantico star is “having a really good time planning the wedding because it’s a mix of Indian and American styles and customs, which she knows so much about.”

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Jonas, 26, and Chopra, 36, confirmed their engagement in mid-August 2018 — one month after reports surrounding the former Disney star’s London proposal first surfaced. “Future Mrs. Jonas,” Jonas wrote on Instagram at the time, captioning a sweet snapshot of himself with his fiancée. He added, “My heart. My love.”

For her part, Chopra shared the same pic, writing, “Taken.. With all my heart and soul.” She also posted a slideshow of photos from the couple’s engagement party, which was held in India last month. “The only way to do this… with Family and God,” the TV star wrote, adding, “Thank you all for your wishes and blessings.”

Jonas and Chopra, who first got together in May 2018, aren’t the only celebrity couple to dominate headlines with whirlwind romances over the summer. Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin confirmed their quick engagement in early July 2018, after rekindling their on-and-off romance just one month earlier. While the pop star and supermodel have reportedly pumped the brakes on wedding planning, they sparked marriage speculation after being spotted at a New York City courthouse’s Marriage Bureau earlier this month.

Meanwhile, Ariana Grande and comedian Pete Davidson famously got engaged in June 2018 after only a few weeks of dating. The cute pair later made their red carpet debut at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards, where they looked as happy as ever as they packed on the PDA. The Saturday Night Live star’s highly-publicized relationship with Grande was lovingly teased during the show’s season premiere on Saturday, Sept. 29.

While we wait to hear more details about each couple’s upcoming nuptials, we can only speculate on which of these celeb pairings might be heading down the aisle first.
