Former Victoria’s Secret Angel (and Leonardo DiCaprio ex) Erin Heatherton just can’t stay out of court.
In September 2017, The Blast reported that Heatherton was sued for a whopping $10 million by a stylist and alleged former business partner who accused Heatherton of abandoning a sportswear line called RetroActive that they’d been working on together “without warning or justification.” Heatherton countersued the stylist for the $25,000 the supermodel had reportedly paid her to work on the line, which Heatherton allegedly found to be of poor quality.
In July 2018, Heatherton’s attorney, Stephanie Adwar, begged a judge to let her drop Heatherton as a client, The Blast reported, because the model allegedly was behind on paying her legal bills in the RetroActive case and went MIA when Adwar attempted to contact her. Adwar also claimed that Heatherton “refused” to pay and allegedly told Adwar that she planned to file for bankruptcy. As of December 2018, Heatherton has not filed for bankruptcy, and the stylist in the RetroActive case alleged that Heatherton blew off her obligations related to the suit to go on an African safari trip (via The Blast).
But wait — there’s more. In July 2016, Page Six reported that Heatherton’s neighbors in her West Village apartment building sued her for having way-too-loud parties, breaking the building’s rules that no loud music should be played between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. Heatherton reportedly also owed $16,000 in back common charges to the building at the time.
