Kris Carey will continue in her current role as general counsel for Constellation’s beer division
Constellation Brands has appointed its first chief diversity officer.
Kris Carey, general counsel for Constellation’s beer division, takes on the newly-created senior leadership role with immediate effect. She will also continue in her current role.
Carey will lead a team charged with shaping Constellation’s strategy on diversity and inclusion as well as driving innovation, recruiting top talent and “benefiting from the diversity in thought and work styles that employees contribute every day,” the company said.
“Constellation Brands places a premium on diversity and inclusion, and I can say first-hand that my colleagues value me for who I am and the different perspectives and experiences that I can bring to the table,” Carey said. “Enhancing our diversity and inclusion strategy that continues to foster a positive, inclusive culture is critical to our growth as an organisation.”
Carey is not the only c-suite appointment Constellation has made this year. Last month, the company appointed Ricardo Bartra as its chief technology officer.
