Fentimans is looking to capitalise on alcohol restrictions in the Middle East with a range of higher-end adult soft drinks for markets in the region.
The UK-based mixer company said today that it will launch five variants in the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council. The range comprises Rose Lemonade, Sparkling Raspberry (which launched in the UK last year), Cherry Cola, Curiosity Cola and Apple & Blackberry.
Importation and distribution of the drinks, which launch later this month at the Gulfood trade show in Dubai, will be handled by Chef Middle East.
“We currently export to over 80 countries worldwide and our ambition is hit 100 countries by 2020,” said Fentimans export director Piero Alberici. “Our … knowledge in this industry has allowed us to be flexible in our approach with different markets, exemplified with launching specific premium drinks to the Middle East.
“We are excited about the future prospects for growth in this region.”
The Gulf Cooperation Council is made up of six countries:
- Saudi Arabia
- the United Arab Emirates
- Bahrain, and
Fentimans full portfolio comprises 12 flavours of soft drinks, 14 mixers and a selection of pre-mixed alcoholic RTDs.
