Luna is a 10 year old female Ibizan Hound cross Corgi. Lovely Luna is a soft, tan coated, medium sized older lady who is very friendly and gentle. The Spanish shelter feel a great love for Luna because she has lived all her life in the pound and now at a time she has found her home comforts in a foster home, she has become blind. Luna is the most affectionate sweet old lady you could imagine. She is blind, which means she follows people around and just wants company. If she is alone, she feels lost and she cries. She needs someone who can always be with her.
She is housetrained, very good at home, very calm. She only needs short, calm walks, and she doesn’t pull. She is sociable with all dogs and cats. She is fostered, living with another dog and cats without a problem, she is completely calm with them.
Her past: She had been living for many years at the Spanish pound when one of the volunteers took her home to foster her, in January 2018. In March she underwent surgery to remove a breast tumour and an inguinal hernia, and she’s completely recovered. We are looking for an older couple for Luna who just want an easy dog to love them. Luna measures around 60cm tall to her withers.
Fosterer’s report: All we can say is that she is a little diamond and she is easy to look after. She dosnt seem to have great problems getting around and she just wants cuddles and love. Current location is in a foster home in Spain can travel to the UK once she has a home to go to. Vaccinated, wormed, flea treated, Spayed, Microchipped, Pet Passport, FREE 4 weeks Pet Insurance to be activated from the link on our website, Any known health issues- Blind.
For Dogs coming from Spain: This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog- microchip, passport, vaccines, tests for S European diseases, neutering , parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from Spain or Portugal to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
Adoption Fee : £ 95 – to be paid direct to the Spanish rescue to cover some of her travel costs via UK bank account
