Not everyone can shake off a 101 mph line drive to the gut, but not everyone is Bartolo Colon.
During Wednesday’s game against the Mariners, the Rangers right-hander was struck in the stomach by a line drive off the bat of Jean Segura but laughed off the hit thanks to some extra padding.

Colon put on one of his best performances of this season as he allowed four hits in 7 2/3 shutout innings to help the Rangers secure a 5-1 win over the Mariners.
“The important thing is we won the game and I was able to get the out,” Colon said through an interpreter, via the Associated Press. “He got me on the side. It was not in the middle. And I have a big belly, so I can [handle] it.”
Colon, who turns 45 on May 24, is 2-1 with a 2.82 ERA and 0.84 WHIP.
