I'm thinking about players who are like the backup cast on a team, the second string, the bench players. I was watching the NBA Finals the other day, and I was wondering what the bench players think about the fact that the men right next to them are almost gods. They've given everything they've got to get where they are, but there's still someone just a little better. How painful must that be? Then, I was watching the Capitals, and what about the guys who aren't the Ovechkins or Fleurys of the game. The guys who play, but just aren't as good.
It must be a twisted psychological matter.
