With two weeks of team performance and data under our belts now, creating our Week 3 fantasy football QB rankings becomes a bit easier. We’re now able to clearly see the strengths and weaknesses of each team, and that goes a long way to determining which matchups can be exploited. This week, Ben Roethlisberger (@ Bucs), Kirk Cousins (vs. Bills), and Jimmy Garoppolo (@ Chiefs) are some of the players who move up a bit because of solid matchups, while guys like Matthew Stafford (vs. Patriots) and Philip Rivers (@ Rams) move down.
There are always a couple of solid streaming options available on the waiver wire, and this week, guys like Mitchell Trubisky (@ Cardinals), Tyrod Taylor (vs. Jets), and Sam Darnold (@ Browns) are a few to target. We particularly like the Jets-Browns game to be competitive this week, so the Thursday night game could be relevant to fantasy football in Week 3.
Predicting the exact rankings of each of these passers is still difficult, and most fantasy owners won’t settle on a full-time starter until after the first month of the season. But if you’re lucky enough to have one of the players who is consistently ranked in the top 10 among QBs, you should be in good shape to become a contender.
Note: We’ll be updating our QB rankings and adding analysis throughout the week, so check back often.
